Teachable Resourceful Learners

Renita Perry is an educator with over one score years of experience in urban and suburban elementary systems. Her teaching style is described as  fun, engaging, flexible, organized, practical, rigorous, and geared toward the state standards. 


She holds an undergraduate degree  from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Her graduate degree in Elementary Education and Elementary Administration come from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.


Professional experiences include Administrative Intern,  Lead Classroom Teacher, Teacher in Charge, Detention Supervisor and School Activities Coordinator in addition to being a 21st Century Site Supervisor. She is also the Educational Consultant to a Day Care Learning Center.


She has attended in the University of Virginia School Turnaround Specialist Program and a graduate of Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Leadership Academy. Renita has been afforded the opportunity to be trained by Ruby Payne, Rita Pierson, Dave Burgess, Todd Whitaker, Hope and Wade King, Luis Cruz, and Mike Rutherford. She has attended the National Get Your Teach Own, Teach Your Heart Out, and Rock Conference. She has been trained in Restorative Practices and Being Equitable, Antiracist, and Fair in the classroom.


She conducts professional development at the local, state, and national levels. Presently, her fourth grade classroom is the lab for creating fun, engaging, and hand on activities that raise student achievement in the areas of STREAM.


Her goal is to provide practical, fun, and engaging training and resources to the 21st Century Educator without breaking the bank to allow them to have a ball teaching in a fun and engaging classroom without being stressed! While bringing standards to life to raise student achievement. 


Her practices results in 80% of students being in the highest levels on standardized testing and her students average 1.3 years of growth on Renaissance Learning Star Assessments in Math and Reading historically.​ In 2020 Renita's fourth grade class was in the Top Five for Math Benchmark scores in the district and showed great growth in Science. During the 2020-2021 school year she added Virtual Teacher and Hybrid Teacher(teaching students in person and virtual at the same time) to her resume.  During the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 School year 95% of her students exceeded the growth expectation in Math, ELA, and Science.


​She is the author of the Fun and Engaging Activities for Teaching Church Kids, R U Engaged? Fun and Engaging Activities to Boost Student Achievement, and The School Year Self Care Challenge.


She creates and sells Teacher Resources for second thru fifth graders on TPT under the Teachable Resources Learners. You can see her practicing and showcasing her resources on her YOUTUBE Channel Teachable Resourceful Learners.


Annually Renita uses her engagement strategies and classroom management techniques at the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education auxiliary to National Baptist Convention, USA, Youth and Young Adult Department. She teaches a class to youth about Salvation and Jesus Christ.


In 2022, the Saved Activity Workbook was created for virtual and in person learners to have the same material.
